Job overview

The Respiratory Department at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly organised support secretary to provide an efficient service to the Consultants, Nurses, ACP's and the Medical secretary team. This is a part time role based at Royal Derby Hospital. 

You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills. 

You will require a high level of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively. 

Main duties of the job

You will have a broad range of administrative skills in particular:

• Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
An understanding of the 18-week RTT process
Knowledge of the Trust Patient Access Policy
Knowledge and familiarisation of medical terminology
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and email systems
Knowledge of electronic patient record systems, such as CITO and Lorenzo.
Accurate typing skills
Audio typing experience
