Job overview

The Level 3 apprenticeship is a new role within our Development and Integration team leading to a nationally recognised qualification and we are seeking individuals who have a keen interest in technology and digitalisation, especially in the design, development and integration of software, systems and robotic process automation and how this is applied in a healthcare setting.

Main duties of the job

You must enjoy working as part of a busy team and remain calm when working to tight deadlines. If you are well organised, highly motivated and understand the importance of attention to detail, then we’d love to hear from you.

This is a development role and if you choose to pursue your career with us, you will be prepared to commit to an 18-month educational programme involving on the job training and independent personal study. For new recruits, a permanent post with UHDB is not guaranteed after the completion of the apprenticeship contract, although a high percentage of apprentices do gain further employment here and new recruits will be offered assistance with job searches towards the end of the apprenticeship, if required.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom (UK) are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. Please note that from January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here. It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form. Overseas applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Guidance can be found here. Not everyone needs a ‘Skilled Worker’ visa. If you are applying for a vacancy in health or adult social care, check if you’re eligible to apply for the Health and Care Worker visa instead. It’s cheaper to apply for and you do not need to pay the annual immigration health surcharge
