Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for; 


We require an enthusiastic, conscientious and flexible individual to work in our new MRI Suite in the Imaging Department.

The post holder  will work  a 2 week rota/shift basis - working 25  hours in Week 1 and 15  hours in Week 2. Contractual working hours will be an average of 20 hours per week.

The shift pattern is as follows:

Week 1: Monday and Tuesday -  5 - 10 pm  (5 hour shifts)
Saturday and Sunday all day - 9 am to  5pm ( 30 minute  lunch – 7.5 hour shifts with enhancements)
Total hours worked: 25

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 5 - 10 pm (5 hour shifts)
Non-working weekend
Total hours worked: 15 hours

You will be responsible for providing a reception service to patients, audio typing x-ray reports on the departmental CRIS information management system and undertaking administrative tasks.

Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with patients and staff at all levels are essential requirements. Previous reception/office experience, good organisational skills and being able to work under pressure with minimum supervision are also core requirements.

Applicants must be IT literate, be experienced typists and qualified to minimum RSA1/ECDL standard or equivalent. Medical terminology and audio typing skills would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
